At Altham Care Home, we offer a range of services to the elderly, including:

Residential Care

Residential Care is for people who can no longer live independently at home and need assistance and support with day to day living. We offer this in a safe, caring environment.

This will include accommodation, meals, beverages, cleaning and laundry services, and personal care. Personal care can include such things as assistance in getting up or going to bed, eating, washing, dressing, and assistance using the toilet.

Dementia Care

This is a more specialist area of care, where more support, reassurance and help is available whilst encouraging independence. Often family and relatives, who care for people, may find long term care invaluable, knowing that loved ones are being cared for in a safe and caring environment.

Respite Care

Respite Care is the provision of short-term, temporary relief to those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home. It can relieve stress restore energy and promote the necessary balance in your life. The reality is that there are times when even the most loving and dedicated of carers need a break. It is at these times that Altham can step in and offer reassurance that your loved one will be looked after and cared for in your absence.

Day Care

Day care can enrich the lives of seniors and alleviate some of the responsibilities placed on the families caring for them. Our home offers day care facilities to suit your needs. We cater for clients wanting ongoing or short term day care, or can be called upon occasionally; whenever the need arises.

Participating in day care introduces people to life within a care setting while enjoying a day's activities, which provide mental and emotional stimulation as well as enhancing their physical well being. Day care gives our clients the opportunity to join others for lunch & evening meals in a safe and secure environment.
